Natural Remedies for Sinusitis

Sinusitis is a health condition that most people have suffered with following a cold or a bout of flu. Sinusitis can also be caused by exposure to air conditioning, air pollution, hay fever or food allergies. The usual symptoms are a blocked nose, fever, pain behind the cheekbones, behind the ears and across the forehead. This normally results in a pounding headache and a feeling of a “heavy” head.  Sinuses are air filled pockets in the bones of the nose and face. The function of the sinuses is to drain away mucus into the nose.  Sinus pains occur when the sinuses cannot cope with the amount of mucus and they then become inflamed.
