Yoga and stretching exercises were found to diminish symptoms of chronic lower pain. This was the largest randomised study of yoga conducted in the U.S. to date. Sherman, PhD, MPH, a senior investigator at Group Health Research Institute said,”we found yoga classes more effective than a self-care book, but no more effective than stretching classes”.
